  • Establish general topic/theme
    • Agree on science topic as we are all science or business teachers
    • Admire projects like We Can Change the World Challenge; want to do something with alternative energy
  • Ideas for final project
    • Really like Glogster; we could use Glogster for our final media project, but offer multiple options for students
  • Set deadlines/responsibilities for coming week
    • Maria to set up Google calendar and meeting notes
    • Jon to start mind map and Diigo group
    • Brendan to create wiki
    • Kevin to start annotated bibliography

  • Review/edit Brendan’s changes to the mind map
  • Update Guiding Questions
  • Brainstorm ideas for Guiding Acitivities
    • Need research-based activity, one on data gathering;
    • geography?
    • How much tech should students use in these?
  • Group to meet again on Thursday to discuss activity rough drafts

  • Determine course of action and group deadlines for final multimedia project
    • Decided on Glog for solution
  • Agreed to focus on wind power for the project solution
    • Options: wind, solar, geothermal
  • Kevin to create Glog shell; each group member will add his/her guiding activity and citations
  • Group work time to collaborate on glog design
  • Agree to meet again the following Monday

  • Review glog and make additional changes as needed
  • Determine layout for guiding activities
  • Who will compile citations?
    • Use individual citation lists for each activity
  • All changes to glog must be in by Saturday (12/1) for final group approvals
